Program Overview
At Children’s Health, we want your child to be as comfortable as possible. That’s why we’ve designed our ophthalmology clinic specifically with our young patients in mind. An ophthalmologist will perform a complete eye exam to determine the extent of the strabismus. Tests include visual acuity tests, corneal light reflex tests and a retinal exam. Strabismus is usually treated with corrective lenses, although surgery is an option in the case of muscle abnormalities. Unless an outside ophthalmologist referred your child, all new patients are scheduled into our General Ophthalmology clinic.
