The most advanced care in our Level IV NICU
Our 47-bed Level IV NICU delivers the highest level of care for critically ill or premature babies. Our team of neonatologists, nurses and specialists are ready around-the-clock to provide lifesaving care and respond to the unexpected.
Each room in our NICU is outfitted to help parents feel more at home, including a rocker recliner, personal breast pump, storage space and privacy curtains. We also offer private sleeping and lactation rooms, showers, laundry facilities, computer workstations and complimentary coffee and snacks.

Our team cares for more than 650 babies a year, and being a Level IV NICU means we never need to refer your baby to another hospital. With experience in everything from early delivery to congenital abnormalities to fetal surgery, we have the expertise to identify your baby's unique needs and match them with the right care and treatments.
We’re also at the forefront of research, collaborating with our peers to improve prenatal and postnatal care now and for future generations. For example, our work as part of a national research group found that quickly cooling a baby’s whole body helps their brains heal after injury. Now, many hospitals have adopted cooling as a new standard of care.
Providing excellent care for newborns – in their home hospitals
Our first-in-Texas TeleNICU program allows providers to virtually examine newborns at hospitals across the region. This minimizes the need to transport babies to us for advanced care – allowing them to stay closer to home. Since launching our TeleNICU in 2013, we’ve virtually examined more than 200 neonates and about half have been able to stay in their home hospitals near family and support networks.

Innovation that was born here - We offer advanced treatments, including special surgeries like the EXIT procedure, which is used to deliver babies that are high-risk due to lung and airway conditions.
Early detection, proactive treatment - The only program in North Texas offering specialized care for babies with prenatally diagnosed conditions, our Fetal Evaluation and Treatment Alliance (FETAL) Program brings together more than 50 specialists who guide you through every step – from diagnosis to delivery to care after your baby is born.
Specialized, ongoing follow-up care - After your baby graduates from the NICU, our Thrive Program looks after your baby’s overall health and well-being until their 5th birthday. The program cares for more than 250 NICU graduates every year and has 1,100 ongoing patients.
Remote reassurances - A convenient way to stay connected with your little one from anywhere, NICView empowers you to watch your baby sleep, wriggle and yawn via a real-time video connection.
Mobile medical units - A transport team expertly transfers babies and mothers via specially-equipped vehicles or aircraft when advanced care is needed.
