About Rehabilitation and Therapy Clinical Experiences

  • Students are paired with 1 or 2 clinical instructors at one of our locations as follows:   

    • Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine

    • Medical Center of Dallas Acute Care Services

    • Our Children’s House Inpatient Rehabilitation

    • Specialty Center Allen

    • Specialty Center Cityville Southwestern Medical District

    • Specialty Center Grapevine

    • Specialty Center Preston

    • Specialty Center Richardson

    • Specialty Center Rockwall 

    • Specialty Center Waxahachie

  • Students can indicate a preferred setting/location, but no guarantees can be made as it is impossible to predict staffing availability months in advance

  • Students will have opportunities to observe in other settings and locations contingent upon their performance

  • Students are required to 1) complete a project (devoting 15-20 hours) during their clinical experience/practicum. 2) participate in a mock job interview
