Research
Residents participate in longitudinal scholarly projects designed to promote exploration into a topic of their interest. Experienced faculty within these fields serve as advisors and guide residents to develop projects based on their individual career goals and ideas. At the end of third year, residents present their projects to faculty and peers at a poster symposium. Many residents also choose to submit their project to journals or present at local, state and national meetings.

Resident research committee:
Comprised of 2-3 resident representatives selected from each class, and two chief residents. The committee aims to cultivate and facilitate resident scholarship interests and opportunities.
Databases: scholarly work information and mentors from senior residents; open projects submitted by faculty looking to work with residents
Workshop series: learn from panel of senior residents/fellows and their experiences during residency, group learning with faculty facilitators on key topics, interactive sessions led by university collaborators
