CME

Children’s Health Continuing Medical Education (CME) program is a provider of interactive and evidence-based education activities for pediatric specialty and sub-specialty physicians. Our CME program has Accreditation with Commendation status through the Texas Medical Association, and promotes Children’s Heath’s mission by building on a culture of life-long learning and excellence in physician and clinical education.

CNE

As an ANCC Magnet® designated hospital, Children’s Health is committed to the professional development and growth of nurses within our health system as well as in the greater Metroplex area. Children’s Health Clinical Operations is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. As an accredited provider,  Children’s Health offers CNE credit for a variety of recurring and topic-focused education events and conferences with the goal of improving patient outcomes, enhancing nursing practice and making life better for children. 

Online Continuing Education

Virtual Health Education provides physicians, mid-level providers, nurses and support staff with easy access to continuing education in a collaborative environment. Children’s Health LIVE (Learning through Interactive Video Education) was launched in an effort to bridge the gap between the presentation of symptoms, diagnosis and referral of various pediatric diseases. Using technology, participants can gather in a virtual room to review and exchange ideas while never leaving their home or office.

Rehabilitation and Therapy Courses

Children’s Health is a leader in rehabilitation and therapy services for children. We offer a variety courses to meet the continuing education needs of occupational, physical and speech-language pathologists.

Grand Rounds

Pediatric Grand Rounds is an ongoing forum to discuss new developments in pediatrics. This forum provides information that enhances physicians’ clinical skills and the ability to diagnose and treat patients. Topics cover all pediatric subspecialties and primary care.  Weekly presentations are held Wednesdays at 8 a.m. at Children’s Medical Center Dallas in the Moore Auditorium.

Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Portfolio Program

The Children’s Health℠ Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Portfolio Program is an institutional resource to help Children’s Health-affiliated physicians maintain certification in their specialties.
