Biography
Timothy Chow, M.D., is an allergy and immunology physician at Children’s Health℠ and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics/Internal Medicine in the Division of Allergy and Immunology at UT Southwestern. Dr. Chow specializes in the care of children with drug allergies.
He earned his medical degree at Temple University. Dr. Chow completed residency training in pediatrics, including a year as chief resident, and his fellowship training in pediatric allergy and immunology at UT Southwestern.
“Drug allergies can have lasting consequences on a child's health leading to the use of often less-effective, more expensive alternatives that come with increased side effects,” says Dr. Chow. “My passion for pediatric drug allergy allows me to help children and their families navigate drug reactions to determine safe and effective options so they receive the best treatment possible."
Dr. Chow is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is also the recipient of a Community Grant from the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and a Fellow’s Research Award from the Texas Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society.
Dr. Chow lives in South Dallas with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys reading, running, volunteering at his church, hanging out with his family and exploring new playgrounds in the DFW area with his kids.
“My passion for pediatric drug allergy allows me to help children and their families navigate drug reactions to determine safe and effective options so they receive the best treatment possible.”
