Biography
Philip Lamar Wilson, M.D., is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Children's Health℠ and is an assistant chief of staff, director of the Center for Excellence in Sports Medicine and a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Scottish Rite for Children.
Dr. Wilson earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He completed his is residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital. Dr. Wilson has completed fellowships in both pediatric orthopedics and arthroscopy/sports medicine.
Since his patients range from infants to teenagers, Dr. Wilson focuses on evaluating and treating the bones, joints, and muscles of children and understanding how surgical procedures will affect their bodies as they mature. One of his areas of expertise is performing minimally invasive surgery (arthroscopy) for joint problems in children and teenagers.
